Principal Partner

Mrs. Nkechi Anyimah, FCIS (Nkechi) is a Legal Practitioner; Chartered Secretary; Corporate Governance Practitioner; Certified IFC/ICSAN Trainer; Facilitator; Certified Life Coach; and the Founding and Principal Partner of N.ANYIMAH & ASSOCIATES LEGAL PRACTITIONERS (NAA). She is responsible for the Firm’s overall strategic growth and development; and ensures the annual strategic planning of the Firm for the effective implementation of the Firm’s strategic plans.

NAA is a business law firm located in the commercial city of Lagos, Nigeria, focused on providing company secretarial and legal advisory services that reflect the highest global standard of quality in all its practice areas. Its practice areas in corporate and commercial law primarily provide advisory services to resident and non-resident entities, including individuals doing business in Nigeria. Particularly, in the areas of business setup and compliance; corporate restructuring; international joint venture transactions; regulatory and company secretarial services; employment, labour, and immigration services; intellectual property, information, and communication technology services; and mergers and acquisitions.

Nkechi provides advisory services to several entities, including local, international, and multi-jurisdictional entities, spanning across the mobile financial technology industry; financial advisory services industry; technology service providers; human capacity building service providers; pension service providers; real estate infrastructure development companies; and engineering services providers. She has over twenty years of active corporate and commercial law experience.

Nkechi is an Associate of the Chartered Governance Institute, United Kingdom and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN), where she served on various committees, (including the Conference and AGM planning committee, Visitation and Reactivation committee, the Corporate Governance and Capacity Building committee; the Membership and Branch Liaison committee; and the Implementation and Monitoring committee). She also facilitates at ICSAN state chapters and National trainings, and workshops; and had presented as speaker/discussant on different programs and events.
Nkechi is the 10th Chairman of the ICSAN Lagos State Chapter.

Nkechi is also a member of the International Bar Association; the Nigerian Bar Association; and the Energy Institute, United Kingdom. She is an alumnae of the Metropolitan School of Business and Management, United Kingdom (MBA); the Nigerian Law School (B.L); University of Lagos (LL. B); Federal Government Girls’ College. Owerri (BEC & SSC); University of Lagos Staff School (FSLC); and University of Lagos Women Society Nursery School (Preschool). She was an awardee of her State scholarship, during her college years, and a recipient of the ExxonMobil scholarship, during her undergraduate and law school years. Nkechi had attended several short and long study certificate and diploma courses both domestically and internationally from leading training and management schools, including the University of Cambridge, spanning different areas including leadership, entrepreneurial management, company secretarial practices, corporate governance, corporate and commercial law contracts and ventures, information and communication technology agreements (especially cross border transactions), in countries such as Ghana, United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, United States of America, Canada, Netherlands and Singapore.

In recognition of her vast knowledge and experience in business, corporate law, and corporate governance, Nkechi seats on the board of several private and public limited liability companies as a non-executive Director.

Nkechi has a passion for training, mentoring, and coaching young lawyers and entrepreneurs, particularly, in the areas of leadership, management of businesses, corporate secretaryship, company secretarial services, and best corporate governance practice. She also provides training to companies in these areas and guides companies on board selection, board evaluation, and directors’ training.

Nkechi is also passionate about the advocacy of the rights of women and children, particularly, the girl-child. She gives off her time and resources to several charitable organizations in furtherance of this passion. She loves mentoring, teaching, traveling, researching and is an avid voracious reader.

Mnena Kakwagh

Senior Counsel

Legal Advisory, Compliance, Contracts and Cross-border Transactions

Mnena is an experienced Senior Counsel with over three years working with the Firm. She is an innovative lawyer, highly effective at developing creative case strategies, provides expert counsel and legal advice on complex corporate structures and corporate matters.

She quickly adapts to the ever-changing demands of the legal profession and is swift to take up challenging opportunities in the Corporate and Commercial services sector. She has a good sense of professional responsibility and interpersonal relationship

Mnena’s areas of expertise includes Cross-border transactions; Mergers and Acquisition; Advisory Services to different types of businesses; and Contract negotiations. She leads and guides the Associates in the Firm in their career growth and service delivery to clients. She is also responsible for effective communication, quality, and timely delivery of services to the clients.

Mnena loves running and is a member of the Makurdi Women’s Runners Association.

Sandra Ijeme

Practice Manager

Sandra is a seasoned Administrator and the Practice Manager with over seven years working for the Firm. She regularly interacts and discusses with the clients in a bid to get feedbacks on the services being rendered to them. Sandra handles the recruitment, training, and supervision of new employees.

She has strong interpersonal and communications skills, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with extensive computer literacy and knowledge of administrative software. She leads the administrative team and coordinates the different units to ensure work processes are executed seamlessly.

She is highly skilled in identifying, designing, and implementing solutions to complex problems, especially, through effective partnerships with team members. Her core skills include business and administrative management processes, strategic planning, and people management. She ensures the efficient and smooth day to day operation of the Firm and is passionate about what she does.

Sandra has good and strong leadership qualities. She is a motivational force to team members.

Kehinde Bamidele

Associate Counsel

Kehinde is a sedulous legal practitioner with expertise in corporate governance, corporate compliance, company secretarial services, and labour and employment relations. She is resilient and works with other Associates to achieve the Firm's continued success using deductive and interpersonal skills.

She has a deep knowledge of corporate and commercial practice, arbitration, and board management. She enjoys research and community development, and networking among peers and associates. She is also an advocate of the Green Earth Concept and sustainable use of the environment.
